ATP Counselor

Center Point DAAC (Drug Abuse Alternatives Center) is currently seeking an Adolescent Treatment Program Counselor. The ATP Counselor is responsible for the effective delivery of the evidencebased SUD services to students attending various school district sites throughout Sonoma County. Candidates must be registered as a Registered or Certified Counselor.


  • Substance Abuse Registration/Certification from a State of California Accredited Institution; RAS, CAS, CAADE, etc.
  • Provide SUD prevention, education, and counseling services within designated school district sites.
  • Collaborate with school district staff/personnel to provide services during school hours in a manner which is non-disruptive to school personnel and students, and in accordance with school policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with school administrators, teachers, and staff.
  • Attends staff and county meetings, trainings, and clinical supervision as required
  • Bilingual/bicultural preferred
  • Excellent written/verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge and experience in adolescent and family developmental theory
  • Knowledge and experience in counseling methods including group facilitation, motivational interviewing, and case management
  • Knowledge of substance abuse best practices, screening, assessments, and intervention services.
  • Ability to conduct outreach, coordinate activities and facilitate group planning processes
  • Highly-skilled in education and presenting to parents, teachers and school administrators
  • Knowledge of and experience in substance abuse/chemical dependency counseling
  • Ability to maintain productive work relationships with clients, employees, management, external agencies and the public.
  • Ability to maintain appropriate boundaries with clients and staff both on and off duty as defined by agency ethical codes.

Substance Abuse Counselor

Center Point DAAC seeks certified and experienced substance abuse counselors in several of our programs (Detox, Residential, and Redwood Empire Addictions Program (MAT) to conduct screening and assessments; provide individual and group counseling; develop treatment plans; create and maintain client charts in compliance with regulatory agencies and funder; facilitate relapse prevention and continuing care services; and provide follow-up and aftercare counseling and case management. The hours will vary depending on program. The schedule could require weekends/evenings so must be flexible.


Prior experience working with clients in a substance abuse treatment program is preferred. The requirements for the position include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Substance Abuse Registration/Certification from a State of California Accredited Institution; RAS, CAS, CAADE, etc.
  • Demonstrated experience providing substance abuse treatment services with criminal justice populations (state parole and probation) is required;
  • Experience with evidence-based substance abuse treatment models and an understanding of treatment modalities is expected;
  • Knowledge of community resources and services is preferred;
  • Must be able to pass and maintain a criminal justice security clearance; and
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and have a clean driving record

We are doing interviews remotely, unless the applicant is unable, then we make arrangements to interview in a large group room, where we can sit over six feet apart, wear masks and have a Plexiglas divider between the applicant and interviewers.

X-Waivered Prescriber

Center Point DAAC (Drug Abuse Alternatives Center) is seeking a part-time Physician, licensed Nurse Practitioner, or licensed Physician’s Assistant to work in our mobile MAT Services Program. Must be X-Waivered, or able to obtain.


Performs Medical History and Physical Examinations for all clients enrolling in the program; Performs methadone dosing, inventory control and client medication orders as part of the Dispensing Team; Coordinates with Medical Director on intake and initial physician orders; Performs PPD’s and conducts follow-ups on positive tests.

The ideal candidate will travel with the Outreach Team throughout Sonoma County to provide on demand services to unstably housed individuals. Services will include induction to Suboxone, minor medical interventions including wound care, linkage to primary care, and weekly follow up for all participants starting Suboxone services.


Current license as a Physician, Family Nurse Practitioner, Nurse Practitioner or Physician’s Assistant. Education and/or experience demonstrating basic knowledge of addiction and treatment. Must be X-Waivered, or able to obtain.

Part Time Methadone Dispenser

Center Point DAAC (Drug Abuse Alternatives Center) Redwood Empire Addictions Program (REAP) is currently seeking qualified Psych Tech/RN/LVN’s for the following position: Part Time Methadone Dispenser.


Responsible for the preparation/administration of medication and maintenance of records for REAP patients during clinic hours. Prepares, dispenses and cleans up after daily medication dispensing. Evaluates side effects and patient’s reactions to medication on a daily basis. Maintains accurate and thorough documentation of medication inventory. Maintains accurate and thorough reconciliation of medication inventory. Responsible for the thorough and accurate documentation of Physician’s orders. Apprises Medical Director of changes in patient’s medical condition Participates in staff meeting on a quarterly basis to stay connected to client care.

Availability needed for early morning hours within hours of operation: Monday through Friday starting at 5:45 a.m. and Saturday & Sunday starting at 6:45 a.m. Training schedule is TBD.

  • Alcohol and Drug Certification (California State Approved)
  • Three years of program and case management with two years in a supervisory roll
  • Knowledge of drug and alcohol addiction, and the effects of the associated stigma, trauma, STD’s,
  • HIV/AIDS, and other collateral issues
  • Ability to do data entry into various electronic systems
  • Professionalism, punctuality, flexibility and reliability
  • Good verbal, written and interpersonal skills

  • Conducts comprehensive screenings and assessments to determine program eligibility
