ATP Counselor

Center Point DAAC (Drug Abuse Alternatives Center) is currently seeking an Adolescent Treatment Program Counselor. The ATP Counselor is responsible for the effective delivery of the evidencebased SUD services to students attending various school district sites throughout Sonoma County. Candidates must be registered as a Registered or Certified Counselor.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Substance Abuse Registration/Certification from a State of California Accredited Institution; RAS, CAS, CAADE, etc.
  • Provide SUD prevention, education, and counseling services within designated school district sites.
  • Collaborate with school district staff/personnel to provide services during school hours in a manner which is non-disruptive to school personnel and students, and in accordance with school policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with school administrators, teachers, and staff.
  • Attends staff and county meetings, trainings, and clinical supervision as required
  • Bilingual/bicultural preferred
  • Excellent written/verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge and experience in adolescent and family developmental theory
  • Knowledge and experience in counseling methods including group facilitation, motivational interviewing, and case management
  • Knowledge of substance abuse best practices, screening, assessments, and intervention services.
  • Ability to conduct outreach, coordinate activities and facilitate group planning processes
  • Highly-skilled in education and presenting to parents, teachers and school administrators
  • Knowledge of and experience in substance abuse/chemical dependency counseling
  • Ability to maintain productive work relationships with clients, employees, management, external agencies and the public.
  • Ability to maintain appropriate boundaries with clients and staff both on and off duty as defined by agency ethical codes.

Substance Abuse Counselor

Center Point DAAC seeks certified and experienced substance abuse counselors in several of our programs (Detox, Residential, and Redwood Empire Addictions Program (MAT) to conduct screening and assessments; provide individual and group counseling; develop treatment plans; create and maintain client charts in compliance with regulatory agencies and funder; facilitate relapse prevention and continuing care services; and provide follow-up and aftercare counseling and case management. The hours will vary depending on program. The schedule could require weekends/evenings so must be flexible.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Prior experience working with clients in a substance abuse treatment program is preferred. The requirements for the position include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Substance Abuse Registration/Certification from a State of California Accredited Institution; RAS, CAS, CAADE, etc.
  • Demonstrated experience providing substance abuse treatment services with criminal justice populations (state parole and probation) is required;
  • Experience with evidence-based substance abuse treatment models and an understanding of treatment modalities is expected;
  • Knowledge of community resources and services is preferred;
  • Must be able to pass and maintain a criminal justice security clearance; and
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and have a clean driving record

Licensed Clinician – Outpatient

Center Point DAAC (Drug Abuse Alternatives Center) is currently seeking skilled and dedicated Part-Time Licensed or Intern Clinician (MFT, LCSW) to join our team in our Outpatient Treatment Program.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Licensed Clinician is responsible for providing trauma-informed services for program participants. The Clinician provides an environment where the psychological, social and developmental needs of the participants can be addressed. The Clinician conducts assessments and reviews initial assessments and re-assessments to determine medical necessity for Medi-Cal approved treatment services based on ASAM guidelines.

The Clinician may provide individual and group counseling that addresses family relationships; the impact of trauma; substance abuse; and co-occurring disorders. The Licensed Clinician performs a variety of therapeutic interventions and case management duties, advocates for clients’ needs, evaluates each client’s mental status and identifies community resources. The Clinician maintains up to date records and provides clinical training for program staff.

Applicant must be a Licensed or Intern Clinical Social Worker or Licensed or Intern Marriage and Family Therapist with experience providing alcohol and drug treatment program. Training and work experience should clearly demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of individuals, document chart entries accurately, demonstrate strong organizational and time management skills and have knowledge of evidence-based practices.

Center Point DAAC (Drug Abuse Alternatives Center) is seeking a part-time Physician, licensed Nurse Practitioner, or licensed Physician’s Assistant to work in our mobile MAT Services Program. Must be X-Waivered, or able to obtain.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Performs Medical History and Physical Examinations for all clients enrolling in the program; Performs methadone dosing, inventory control and client medication orders as part of the Dispensing Team; Coordinates with Medical Director on intake and initial physician orders; Performs PPD’s and conducts follow-ups on positive tests.

The ideal candidate will travel with the Outreach Team throughout Sonoma County to provide on demand services to unstably housed individuals. Services will include induction to Suboxone, minor medical interventions including wound care, linkage to primary care, and weekly follow up for all participants starting Suboxone services.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

Current license as a Physician, Family Nurse Practitioner, Nurse Practitioner or Physician’s Assistant. Education and/or experience demonstrating basic knowledge of addiction and treatment. Must be X-Waivered, or able to obtain.

Lead Methadone Dispenser

Center Point DAAC (Drug Abuse Alternatives Center) Redwood Empire Addictions Program (REAP) is currently seeking qualified applicants for Lead Methadone Dispenser – We are looking for a Psych Tech/RN/LVN to be full-time.

JOB PURPOSE:

Responsible for the preparation/administration of medication and maintenance of records for REAP patients during clinic hours. Candidates must be comfortable in a harm-reductive setting.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Prepares, dispenses and cleans up after daily medication dispensing. Evaluates side effects and patient’s reactions to medication on a daily basis. Maintains accurate and thorough documentation of medication inventory. Maintains accurate and thorough reconciliation of medication inventory. Responsible for the thorough and accurate documentation of Physician’s orders. Apprises Medical Director of changes in patient’s medical condition Participates in staff meeting on a weekly basis to stay connected to client care. Perform Impaired Client Assessment for those clients that appear under the influence. Coordinates with Sonoma County Detention Facilities to dispense medication to incarcerated patients. Ensures proper operation and maintenance of computerized dispensing equipment. Responsible for reading and charting patients PPD tests.

Availability needed for early morning hours within hours of operation: Monday through Friday 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Residential Monitor (RM)

Center Point DAAC (Drug Abuse Alternatives Center) is currently seeking a Residential Monitor (RM) to work in our Turning Point and Turning Point Detox programs.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Serves as monitor to clients in a residential setting ensuring they are safe and following the structure of the program.

Coordinates and monitors the client’s activities within the residential program as assigned by treatment team.

Files documents in client files.

Provides practical training/education on life skills i.e., how to open a savings account, employment and resume support; how to manage a budget, etc.

Ensures Discharge documentation is completed by primary counselor and filed in client file, notifying internal and external parties as necessary.

Attends and support counseling staff during house meetings with residential population.
Collects urinalysis samples from clients of their own gender.

Maintains and enforces program policies.

Supervises client outings as needed.

Treats clients and prospective clients with professionalism and courtesy at all times.

Attends and participates in weekly staff meetings.

Provides input in weekly staff meetings as required and/or needed.

Participates in case consultation with other counselors, treatment providers and referring parties.

Provides updates of client progress to treatment team as needed.

Performs additional direct services as assigned by the Residential Program Manager and/or the Regional Director

QUALIFICATIONS:

Qualified applicants must have good written and verbal communications skills, possess basic computer skills, accurate mathematical calculation skills and the ability to complete job responsibilities with minimal supervision. In addition, needs to have some knowledge or experience of Substance Use Disorder.

Current CPR/First Aid certification required.
