School-Based Services
In conjunction with the Sonoma County Office of
Education, the Santa Rosa City Schools and the
Konocti Unified School District, DAAC offers community
school programs for adolescents.
Awareness & Choices Training (ACT)
provides early intervention and prevention counseling
to students at secondary schools in Santa Rosa
to reduce alcohol, tobacco and other chemical dependency and drug use
among teens. ACT also provides a weekly, drop-in
education and support group for parents of teens.
The Community Schools Program provides
alcohol rehabilitation and chemical dependency treatment services to community
school students. Group and individual counseling
is provided to teens 1-2 times per week as scheduled
by school teachers and counselors.
The Clean & Sober Schools are a merging
of therapeutic and academic efforts for the adolescent
who has abused or been dependent on alcohol and/or
other drugs and has chosen to make a commitment
to sobriety. Education and process groups are
provided daily. DAAC operates two schools in Sonoma
County, (707) 527-8338, and one in Lake County,
