Professionals
The Drug Abuse Alternatives Center (DAAC) offers
rehabilitation programs in Northern California for clients of any age, background,
socio-economic status and severity of problems
with alcohol and/or other drugs. DAAC provides
counseling services to more than 2,500 individuals
and education, outreach and testing services to
an additional 21,000 individuals in our community
each year. We treat clients of all ages, ethnicities,
class and background. All of DAAC’s drug rehab treatment
programs are licensed and/or certified by the
California Department of Alcohol and Drug Programs.
We gratefully accept referrals from local health
professionals and pride ourselves on working closely
and respectfully with the referring party to maximize
success for the client. To learn more about our

For
Adults
DAAC offers both outpatient and residential treatment
options for adults with alcohol and other chemical dependency
problems. Programs and services include outreach,
education and prevention efforts, assessment,
individual, family and group counseling, a methadone
maintenance and detoxification program, a weekly
needle exchange service, a Drug Court program
(for non-violent adults involved in the criminal
justice system) and a supervised Sober Living
House. Health services, including HIV and Hepatitis
C education, testing, and counseling, are available
to all clients.
For
Teens and Parents
DAAC offers a number of outpatient programs and
services for adolescents with alcohol and other
drug problems. Services include outreach, education
and prevention efforts, assessment, individual,
family and group counseling and school-based programs.
We also offer a Juvenile Probation Program for
non-violent adolescents involved in the criminal
justice system. Health Services, including HIV
and Hepatitis C education, testing and counseling,
are available to all clients. Additionally, DAAC's
Parents Supporting Parents program facilitates
free weekly meetings in Santa Rosa to support and educate parents dealing with
unacceptable adolescent behaviors.
For
Pregnant or Parenting Women
DAAC offers Perinatal Day Treatment programs in California in Sonoma County for pregnant and/or
parenting women with problems of chemical dependency.
DAAC also operates a Transitional
Living Center which provides safe and drug-free
housing for pregnant and/or parenting women and
their children for up to nine months. Health services,
including HIV and Hepatitis C education, testing
and counseling, are available to all clients.
Additionally, our experienced staff can guide
family and friends of an individual with alcohol
and/or other chemical dependency problems through a structured
and facilitated intervention process. For information
